What’s wrong with this picture?

Let’s take a closer look into the perfect swing. In 1978, 75% of all golfers never broke 90 – so barely 25% ever shot in the 80′s.

In 2011, a full 33 years later, not much has changed. After the advent of 460CC drivers with 46″ multi-kick point shafts, cavity back irons, balls that prevent hooks and slices and go further than ever before, and world class instruction from the smartest minds in the biz, a whopping 3% more golfers actually break 90!

But hey, let’s cut the industry some slack, there has only been 90+ billion spent on golf equipment over that time. That number doesn’t even include lessons or training aids! All that technology and collective wisdom and this is how far we’ve come…impressive, huh.

Seriously, any other business that produced numbers this poor would be out of business. But the golfing public has an insatiable appetite to build the perfect golf swing and an ever growing horde of manufacturers and marketers are more than willing to feed that desire.

Here’s a novel idea…

Perhaps players should try something different… There’s an old saying that goes, “Doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results, is the definition of insanity.”

Maybe it’s time for a new strategy…. Ya think!

Buying new drivers every year, the latest and greatest training aids and chasing the perfect golf swing is not the answer, as statistics clearly prove. Certainly having good clubs is important yet your clubs don’t do the swinging… you do. As Lee Trevino used to say “It’s the Indian, not the arrow that matters.”

Even great instruction isn’t the answer, in and of itself, to lower scores. YOU still have to make the perfect swing and that will always be dependent on how you internalize what you’ve learned and how you direct your mind.

The new golf paradigm starts in the mind & body

The golf industry lacks a model for teaching players peak performance processes that accelerate learning and improve many areas of the game all at once. But not from an instructional perspective: from the launch pad of your mind.

It is your mind that determines how you swing, when you pull the trigger, what shot selection you’re going to use, the club you select, the type of swing your body makes, etc., etc.. Your mind is the driving and deciding factor in everything you do in golf. Since this is indisputable logic, why do players focus on their mind and how tap its awesome power, the least!

What have you bought to improve your mental game recently? When you determine the amount you’ve invested into the mental side of your game and improving your play from the inside out, compare that with the amount you’ve spent on everything else in the game. Sobering thought isn’t it…

Since how you use your mind predetermines how good of a player you’ll ultimately become, doesn’t it at least make sense to put a little energy into this area?! Imagine being able to increase accuracy and add massive distance while actually improving consistency. That’s what the perfect golf swing really is.

Now imagine doing all this without lessons OR having to buy any gimmicky training aids or a $400 driver every year. This is what effortless power golf is all about. As you’re about to find out and smooth, repeatable swing and the ability to score with that swing is the perfect swing.
