Driver Distance
I recently watched a distance driver competition, the world long driving championships on TV, and it was pretty amazing to watch the distance that they’re hitting drivers now. It’s just mind-boggling. Certainly, equipment has evolved as well as the balls. But, the swings the way in which they go about crushing the golf ball has really transformed.
In the beginning of these distance driver championships there was a certain style of swinging. Most of them looked like they were coming out of their shoes. Some of them looked like they had no balance at all but they did because it’s hard to hit a driver enormous distances without good balance.
But nowadays some of the swings are actually getting more compact and more aesthetic, much more in control. They’re better balanced and better looking swings that absolutely destroy the ball and how far it’s going.
Equipment, Balance & Timing for Distance Driving
So, if you want distance on your driver, you’re going to need to do several things. One is to have the right equipment designed for your swing speed. It’s kind of useless to have a shaft that’s triple X stiff if you only swing at 90 mph. This is why it’s critical that you have a shaft that matches your swing speed. You’ll get way more out of your swing.
This is what we do with Effortless Power Golf. We teach you how to really accelerate that swing speed so that the distance your driver goes is 30 to 40 yards more with the same swing. It doesn’t matter how you were taught.
So, for you to get more distance out of your driver you need a proper equipment and you need the proper processes within not only your swing and body but your mind body to unlock that raw power that you’re trying to deliver to the back of all so that you can add those 30 to 40 yards quickly.
